As a Boom Truck Operator, you'll play a vital role in building and maintaining railways across Canada. You'll safely operate and maintain boom trucks (truck-mounted hydraulic cranes) on railway tracks and adjacent roads, supporting rail construction, signal and communications installations, track renewal, and material handling. Your commitment to stringent safety and operational standards ensures efficient, incident-free job execution.

What You'll Do

Operate boom trucks to lift, move, load, and unload materials and equipment at rail sites.
Perform daily inspections and minor repairs to ensure safe operation.
Handle materials and assist with manual labour when needed.
Communicate effectively over radio and follow CROR compliance.
Keep accurate logs and participate in job briefings.
Work collaboratively to meet productivity goals.

What You Bring

Minimum 6 months experience in railway or construction.
At least one season as a machine operator.
Class 5 Driver's License (Class 1 required for boom truck operation).
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Safety certifications (CROR, First Aid, Fall Arrest, etc.) are an asset—we'll train you
A strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety.
