Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee evening and night operations at Home and Away Bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. As a key team member, you will ensure exceptional customer experiences, maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness, and manage staff to deliver efficient service in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to lead a talented team while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during shifts
  • Oversee beverage service, and bar cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
  • Operate POS systems such as Toast POS for accurate cash handling and sales processing
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff on drink specifications, customer service, and safety procedures
  • Ensure adherence to AHS standards and responsible alcohol service policies
  • Monitor customer interactions to ensure high satisfaction levels and address any issues promptly
  • Assist in shift management by managing on duty staff when manager isnt present
  • Collaborate with management cocktail menu updates, beer menu updates and special event cocktails
  • Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality, and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management with supervising responsibilities
  • Strong background in cocktail preparation, staff management, or bartending experience preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS ; cash handling expertise is an assset
  • Experience in managing inventory control, budgeting, and food safety protocols
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and develop team members effectively
  • Knowledge of food industry standards including casual dining, steps of service, and bar operations
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
  • Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards
  • Previous experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
