Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable French Math Specialist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mathematics and fluency in French, with the ability to effectively teach and communicate complex concepts to students.

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons in mathematics tailored to students' levels, integrating French language instruction when applicable
  • Create instructional materials, exercises, and assessments that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Provide individualized support and tutoring to help students improve their understanding of mathematical concepts
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement
  • Foster a positive learning environment that motivates students and enhances their confidence in both math and French language skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share best practices
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and participation

Skills

  • Must be very familiar with Ontario French Curriculum
  • Have very good patient and passion to teach French to students
  • Fluency in French, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in mathematics, including algebra, geometry, calculus, or relevant advanced topics
  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred but not required; passion for education is essential
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse learners
  • Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for fostering student engagement
  • Organizational skills to manage lesson planning and student assessments effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
