Full Time Permanent or Part Time permanent Occupational Therapist

What We Offer

• Administrative Support: Helpful and supportive professionals to assist you in your reporting and referral management.
• Active Clinical Mentorship: Mentoring and support from experienced occupational therapists so you can build the skills to take on any referrals of interest.

• Variety: A varied clinical caseload funded by employers, return-to-work insurers, municipalities, non-profits, and individuals, and the opportunity to get involved in training and leadership activities.
• Case Management System: A secure case management system for all your file management needs. This system meets regulatory requirements.
• Tools: Full time employees receive the required equipment: computer, mobile phone, ergonomic office tools. Assessment tools and clinical resources are also available for all occupational therapists at Gowan.

What You Offer

• A passion for the profession of occupational therapy.
• An interest in clinical work including occupational therapy assessment, intervention, and workplace wellness training in ergonomics, workplace accommodation, return-to-work, and/or psychotherapy and mental health.
• An understanding of the importance of work and productivity for the health and wellness of people and those they work for.
• A desire to help motivated employers to find sustainable stay-at-work and return-to-work solutions for their staff.
• A self-starter, critical thinker, and problem-solver who thrives in an autonomous work environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, relational, and communication skills.

• Additional training and competence in ergonomics, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, cognitive assessment, and Exposure Therapy are assets, but not required.

Required

• The ability to travel to employee, client, and employer sites within an agreed geography.
• Registered and in good standing with a Canadian occupational therapy regulator and able to provide in-person services in your province of residence.
• Technologically able to use email and our case management system for daily file management entries, billing, and reporting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
