Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Therapist at Fernweh Wellness. The Therapist will conduct virtual sessions with clients, assess their mental health needs, and provide tailored therapeutic interventions. Additionally, the role involves maintaining client records and collaborating with the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care. Maintaining ethical and client-centered practices will be essential.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in individual therapy, group therapy, and trauma-informed care
  • Strong interpersonal communication, active listening, and empathy skills
  • Knowledge of mental health assessment tools and treatment planning
  • Licensure or certification as a therapist, counsellor, psychotherapist, psychologist, or social worker in one or more provinces in Canada
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Experience navigating diverse client needs and backgrounds
  • Familiarity with Canadian mental health regulations and ethical standards is a plus
  • Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • Desire to work a hybrid model in (Calgary, AB) an asset
