Travelift Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery. This role requires mechanical knowledge, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. The Operator will play a vital role in ensuring project accuracy and safety while maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Travelift efficiently and safely while moving boats around the yard and to and from the water
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Assist with site preparation, and other activities as needed
• Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries on site
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines
• Maintain accurate records of equipment operation and maintenance activities
• Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues and performing basic repairs when necessary

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozer, excavator, loader, grader, backhoe, or paver
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely
• Prior experience in heavy equipment operation is highly desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
