Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salon Apprentice & Front Desk Representative to join our dynamic team. This dual role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both salon services and front desk operations within a vibrant beauty environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the beauty industry, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to develop professional expertise in cosmetology, barbering, and retail sales. Responsibilities

  • Greet clients warmly and manage the front desk, including scheduling appointments using salon software such as MEEVO
  • Assist licensed stylists and barbers with hair styling and chemical services
  • Support salon operations by maintaining sanitation standards and ensuring a clean work environment
  • Promote retail products through upselling techniques and retail math skills to enhance client experience and sales goals
  • Learn and assist with color theory applications and other beauty treatments under mentorship
  • Manage client check-in/check-out processes efficiently while providing exceptional customer service
  • Support store management with inventory organization and product displays
  • Participate in mentoring sessions to develop technical skills

Requirements

  • Passion for the beauty industry with an interest in cosmetology or barbering
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients and team members
  • Basic understanding of salon software systems like MEEVO for appointment scheduling and client management
  • Knowledge of retail sales principles and upselling strategies to enhance client satisfaction and revenue
  • Ability to maintain high sanitation standards in accordance with industry regulations
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of salon operations
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and eagerness to grow within the beauty industry
