The Construction Coordinator supports the construction management team (CMT) in safely and efficiently executing construction work. This is a field-based role with regular visits to the construction workface to support construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities between the CMT, engineering team, contractors, and operations to ensure construction work proceeds efficiently.
  • Support CMT and contractor personnel in the use of digital/computer-based systems and mobile field devices.
  • Log and track action items, maintain digital records, and provide general administrative support as required.
  • Liaise with engineering personnel to obtain answers to RFIs and other technical queries.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of construction schedules submitted by contractors and coordinate feedback from discipline superintendents.
  • Validate claimed schedule progress with the CMT and contractors, raising discrepancies to the Construction Manager for resolution.
  • Track, and in some cases calculate, construction productivity.
  • Conduct site inspections as required to support safe and efficient construction activities.

Requirements

  • Pre-access substance testing completed.
  • 8+ Years of experience in previous role.
  • WHMIS certification.
  • Ability to work on a 2 weeks in / 2 weeks out rotation, 11-hour workdays.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with the CMT, contractors, and engineering teams.
