Description

We are looking for a talented Parts associate to join our Distribution business in Ottawa, Ontario.

In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Carry out customer parts counter duties including receiving parts calls, greeting and assisting walk-in customers, completing all paperwork and processing it accordingly, handling cash, check, and credit card transactions. 
  • Maintain a favorable relationship with internal and external customers by addressing their needs and issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse. 
  • Personally lead or guide other Parts Personnel in sourcing and locating complex parts requests or finding alternatives.
  • Utilize various systems, catalogs, other resources, and collaborates with technicians to identify and procure the parts in the most cost and time efficient manner
  • Perform other duties that may include managing stock levels, shipping and receiving parts, warehouse activities, inventory management related tasks, core processing, or other parts-related duties as assigned by management.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

Education, licenses or certifications:

  • High school diploma with pertinent experience will be considered.
  • Red seal Parts technician journeyman certification is an asset for this role.
  • Forklift certification is an asset for this role.
  • Valid local driver's license is necessary for this role.

Experience:

  •        Experience in a similar role is necessary for this role.

To be considered for this role you must:

  •       Be fluent in both French and English (written, read and spoken)
  •       Be physically fit in order to be able to lift charges on occasion (50 lbs).
  •       Be able to work in a team and demonstrate autonomy at the same time.
  •       Demonstrate strong organizational skills and be recognized as proactive.

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our Company Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
