Rope Access Technician (RAT)

ICEN Property Services is looking for three Rope Access Technicians (RAT) to join our team in Vancouver, BC. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive wage and flexible hours.

Work Location: Pierview Crescent, Vancouver, BC V5S 0G5, and various on-site customer locations.

Salary: $37.00 per hour, for 30 to 40 hours per week.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time employment with flexible hours (early morning, morning, day, weekend).

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Work at high-rise buildings with ropes and perform construction, caulking, window cleaning, and repairs to the outside of high-rise concrete buildings.
  • Review and sign off on the Rope Access Work and Rescue Plan for
  • each job site.
  • Follow and abide to the regulations in the ICEN Employee Manual.
  • Complete daily tasks in the allotted time frame.
  • Maintain personal kit equipment and conduct equipment checks on a regular basis.
  • Be a good representative of ICEN Property Services on site to clients and general public.
  • Meet company and client expectations and standards.
  • Identify and report to supervisor any unsafe practices at work and/or
  • any damage.
  • Read blueprints to determine job requirements.
  • Instruct apprentices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in construction, caulking, window cleaning, and repairs to the outside of high-rise concrete buildings.
  • Must be comfortable at heights & working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Certification: Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) Level 1- 2 Certification is required.
  • Language: Must be proficient in English.
  • Personal Suitability: We're looking for an accurate, organized, client-focused team player.

Work Environment

The work is on-site at various location within the lower mainland area and the work is performed at heights in a dangerous, dusty, hot, noisy, wet/damp, and outdoors environment. There is no option for remote work.
