Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential HVAC Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction experience, and the ability to oversee HVAC projects. This role offers an opportunity to manage residential work, supervise technicians, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Quality Assurance & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee residential HVAC installations, replacements, and service work to ensure compliance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes
  • Conduct jobsite inspections and post-installation audits to verify workmanship quality, system performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Develop, implement, and enforce quality control checklists and standard operating procedures
  • Identify recurring quality issues and implement corrective actions, training, or process improvements
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex system issues, callbacks, or warranty claims
  • Ensure proper commissioning, testing, and documentation of HVAC systems (airflow, refrigerant etc.)
  • Technical Knowledge: Specify that the supervisor must have project and trade knowledge regarding required components, specifications, and parts, as well as the ability to note and schedule missing parts

Estimating & Job Scoping

  • Perform accurate residential HVAC estimates for system replacements, upgrades, and add-on work
  • Conduct in-home assessments, load calculations, and equipment sizing to ensure proper system design
  • Ensure estimates reflect labor requirements, materials, code compliance, and profit margin targets
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align estimates with customer needs and company goals
  • Assist in developing standardized pricing models and estimating templates

Team Leadership & Training

  • Supervise, mentor, and support installation and service technicians to promote quality-driven performance
  • Provide ongoing coaching and technical training focused on best practices, efficiency, and workmanship
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations of field staff
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Crew Management: Mention monitoring a crew of upwards of 15+

Operations & Coordination

  • Coordinate with scheduling, dispatch, and warehouse teams to ensure job readiness and material availability
  • Review job completion reports, photos, and documentation for accuracy and quality compliance
  • Track and reduce callbacks, rework, and warranty expenses through proactive quality management
  • Support customer communication when technical explanations or quality concerns arise
  • Project Organization: Include a requirement for maintaining project lists regarding status, job readiness, approximate timeframes, and completion

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to OSHA standards, company safety policies, and environmental regulations
  • Verify proper handling of refrigerants, tools, and equipment
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of codes, standards, and industry best practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
