Job Overview

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of heavy machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, with experience working with diverse machinery such as Liebherr, Caterpillar and Volvo. This position is primarily field based, working directly on job sites to keep equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Duties

  • Diagnose, repair, and service Liebherr, Caterpillar, and Volvo heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, and articulated trucks
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections in the field
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Respond to breakdowns and perform timely field repairs
  • Complete service documentation and maintenance records
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Follow all company and job-site safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working on Liebherr, Caterpillar, and/or Volvo heavy equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Welding and fabrication experience a plus
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
  • Relevant certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation or mechanic work are advantageous
