Safety Specialist

Your field experience in safety can save lives — now use it to help companies build systems that protect their people and legacy.
We're Hiring: Safety Success Champion
(Client Success Specialist + Safety Coach + Growth Driver)
In Person | Full-Time | Winnipeg, Canada
Are you a safety practitioner with a passion for people, tech, and impact?
If you love safety, thrive on client success, and get energized by helping leaders protect their people and build excellent companies — this role is for you.
At 1Life Safety, we're more than just software. We're a purpose-driven SaaS company built by safety professionals for small to mid-sized businesses. Our award-winning 1Life Safety App is a tool — but the real impact is the robust safety management systems it helps our clients implement. That's what sends workers home safe, strengthens company culture, and gives owners the pride of knowing they're doing right by their people.
This role is a chance to elevate your own impact: to apply your field experience and safety knowledge not only to guide clients, but also to coach and mentor our internal Client Success team in safety best practices. Your leadership will strengthen both our clients' businesses and our own team's capacity to deliver excellence.
What You'll Do
Be the trusted advisor for clients as they implement stronger management systems using the 1Life platform.
Lead onboarding, training, and coaching to build safety systems that are practical, compliant, and culturally embraced.
Help clients overcome adoption challenges and keep them moving forward with confidence.
Partner with Product + Sales teams to share insights and identify opportunities for new features and for clients to grow.
Ultimately: help leaders run safer, more excellent businesses.
Draft high-value resources like toolbox talks, safe work procedures, and hazard alerts that support system strength.
Coach and evolve our internal Client Success team on safety management best practices, multiplying your impact.
About You
Minimum 3+ years safety experience in construction or trades safety (roofing, mechanical, general contracting — all welcome).
Credentials: CRST, CSO, or NCSO preferred.
Experienced Leader: You've worked where the risks are real, and now you're ready to guide others with that credibility.
Tech-Savvy: You don't need to code, but you love software and see it as a tool to make people's work and lives better.
Coach & Catalyst: You bring out the best in others — clients and colleagues alike — turning safety from a burden into a source of pride.
Purpose-Driven: You understand that protecting people isn't just compliance — it's culture, leadership, and legacy.
Why Join 1Life?
Be part of a purpose-driven team with reverence for life at its core.
Work with an award-winning company (4x CSSE Excellence Awards).
Real ownership of your work — your ideas and coaching make a visible difference.
Competitive compensation, bonus potential, and strong benefits.
Flexible, growth-focused culture.
Huge opportunity to grow with us as we scale across North America.
Success in This Role Looks Like
:
Clients implementing robust safety management systems that protect people and the business.
Leaders experiencing the pride of building excellent companies with strong safety culture at the core.
Workers going home safe, every day — because of the systems you've helped put in place.
The Client Success team leveling up under your mentorship, delivering even greater value to clients.
Clients expanding their use of 1Life software as a natural outcome of system strength.
Measurable impact through higher adoption, retention, referrals, and success stories.
