Dynamic Building Control is in search of an Electrical Apprentice – Level 1 or Level 2. The successful candidate will be a dedicated, hard-working individual who takes pride in their work. They will assist licensed electrician with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and control systems. They will maintain excellent rapport and build long-term value-based relationships with customers. With their technical expertise, they will play a definite key role in enhancing our company image and reputation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the journeyman electrician to complete tasks
  • Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors
  • Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment
  • Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels
  • Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits
  • Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement, or repair
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
  • Other duties as assigned

Beneficial Skills and Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • Completion of 1st or 2nd level Electrical Program
  • Service experience is considered an asset
  • Exceptional communication skills to work within our team and communicate directly with customers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience working with building controls is considered an asset
  • Committed to promoting and supporting a safe work environment
  • Must have a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract

Job Type: Full-time
