Role Description

This is a contract role for an Azure Databricks Developer. The primary responsibilities include building, managing, and optimizing data processing pipelines on the Databricks platform, maintaining infrastructure, and managing cloud-based solutions. The role operates in a hybrid capacity, with the work location in Toronto, ON, and opportunities for remote work as required.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Software Development, including coding, debugging, and optimizing enterprise-grade applications
  • Experience with Infrastructure and Cloud Computing, especially in managing and configuring environments using Azure services
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems for development and deployment purposes
  • Strong understanding of Databases, including querying, management, and optimization
  • Knowledge of Azure Databricks for efficient data integration and analytics
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field or equivalent experience
