Key Responsibilities:
- Provide planning and scheduling expertise and manage master project schedules for planning, procurement, engineering, construction, and maintenance activities.

- Interpret schedule performance and communicate risks, trends, and impacts to the Project Manager, including analyzing schedule updates and resource‑loading implications.
- Provide technical guidance on scheduling, planning, and logistics, including development of detailed "what‑if" schedules, identification of critical paths, and logic‑driven scenario options.
- Interface with project staff and Control Account Managers to gather accurate dates, sequencing, scope details, logic, and budgets for timely and accurate schedule updates.
- Cost‑load detailed activities in the master schedule to establish a performance measurement baseline integrated with the cost management system, including defining rules of credit for earned value reporting.
- Partner closely with the Project Cost Controller to maintain accurate and aligned cost‑schedule integration.
- Coordinate with third‑party and subcontractor schedulers to ensure compliance with company scheduling requirements and compatibility for integration into the master schedule.
- Align schedule activities across internal and external stakeholders to ensure engineering deliverables, procurement plans, construction sequencing, and commissioning dates meet project timelines.
- Represent the department by providing analytical insights, coordination, and direction on project scheduling and associated external activities.
- Provide technical and business input for project completion documentation, including reports, schedule updates, and planning‑related submissions.
- Apply rolling‑wave planning to develop detailed execution‑ready schedules across all functional areas (Engineering, Environment, Land/ROW, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Field Controls Analyst to produce weekly construction progress reports.
- Facilitate schedule review and update meetings with the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings to stay informed on scope, cost, schedule, and progress changes.
- Expand knowledge and relationships by collaborating with a broad cross‑section of stakeholders within and outside the Major Projects business unit.
- Assist with system enhancement testing when required.
- Recommend process improvements and efficiencies within the planning and scheduling function.
- Support overall project team, functional area, and company goals and objectives.
Scope / Dimensions:
- Serve as the primary scheduling representative for assigned projects, working closely with the Project Manager, Project Team, and Cost Controller.
- Impacts extend across multiple project assignments and both internal (support departments) and external (suppliers, customers, contractors) stakeholders.
- Tasks are frequently self‑identified and executed independently, with decisions guided by standard practices, processes, and professional judgment.
- Recommendations are generally accepted as technically accurate and feasible, including in specialized or atypical situations.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to junior and intermediate schedulers/planners.
Contacts:
- Engage in verbal and written communication involving complex technical information and analysis of business implications.
- Coordinate with project controls personnel, project teams, functional departments, and external vendors.
- Provide scheduling expertise and guidance to company staff, contractors, and project partners.

- Minimum 10 years of planning/scheduling experience on engineering and construction projects (oil and gas experience preferred).
- Expert‑level proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Timeline Pro, MS Word, SharePoint, and advanced Excel.
