Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Garden Associate to join our team. This role involves assisting customers, maintaining garden displays, and supporting the overall operation of our retail garden center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, horticulture, and providing excellent customer service. Multilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or merchandising are a plus. This position offers an engaging environment where you can share your love of plants and landscape maintenance with customers while contributing to a vibrant shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with selecting plants, gardening supplies, and landscape materials
  • Maintain and organize garden displays to ensure an attractive presentation
  • Provide expert advice on horticulture, gardening techniques, and landscape maintenance
  • Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and managing inventory
  • Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, POS transactions, and processing sales
  • Support e-commerce operations related to online orders and customer inquiries
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the garden center area
  • Communicate effectively with customers in English; multilingual communication skills are a plus
  • Promote products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and sales

Experience

  • Prior experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance preferred
  • Retail sales or merchandising experience is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are beneficial
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
  • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms related to retail operations
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Passion for gardening and customer service excellence
