Whether patients see us for cataract surgery, AMD treatment, diabetic eye changes, emergency eye care, pediatric eye care, or glaucoma therapy, our goal is to offer the best possible eye care.
Our office is a 2700 square foot fully accessible facility built specifically for the provision of high quality, efficient eye care. With two waiting rooms, two technician rooms, three MD exam rooms, a laser treatment room with YAG, SLT, and Argon lasers, four special testing rooms and a patient learning centre, we are ready to provide excellent eye care and education.
We are looking for an energetic, people-oriented quick learner to join a busy comprehensive eye surgery practice in Orillia, located at the edge of cottage country 90 minutes north of Toronto in Ontario. Patience and friendly nature essential.
Work days are Monday, Tuesday Wednesday Thursday 8-4ish, Friday 8-12
Start date January 26 or ASAP with flexibility for the right candidate
Interviews will be offered to experienced technicians with JCAHPO certification, registered opticians, and/or university educated applications. Please bring a copy/photo of your degree or certificate to your interview.
We see mostly elderly patients with cataract, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy as well as a wide range of other eye conditions
Job responsibilities will include screening of 30 +/- patients daily including history taking auto-refraction, and Goldmann applanation tonometry , as well as other ocular testing including A-scans, Visual Fields, Optomap fundus photos, OCT testing, IOLMaster, and Corneal Topography. Successful applicants will also contribute to patient flow through the office, telephone and fax communications, OR and laser clinic bookings, and triaging patient/MD urgent calls.
