Your Role at Roots
As a Web Designer you will create and maintain the Roots experience for our customers. Reporting directly to the UX & Web Design Manager, the Web Designer will be responsible for creating an inspiring digital brand experience through the development of content and graphic design that are industry-leading and relevant to the marketplace. Most importantly, the Web Designer develops a unique user experience that can help us engage with our customers and drive sales. You would be a part of an incredible team that is dictating the digital vision of the Roots brand worldwide.

Key Responsibilities → How You'll Make An Impact

• Developing interactive designs for campaign launches on that reflect current trends in the marketplace that support commerce
• Ensuring designs meet our digital visual style standard that represents the brand but also is adapted for its end digital application
• Interpreting larger campaigns into the digital realm and create videos, landing pages, banners, and other pieces of creative that drive revenue online
• Actively seeking to reinvent and push the brand/design forward, in a way that is consistent, but innovative
• Developing content for to help drive bottom line sales and increase conversion rates
• Keeping the site user-friendly, with best accessibility practices
• Keeping promotional content up-to-date and correct on
• Ensuring the visual look and standards of Roots are maintained and presented online in a unified and consistent manner
• Working with external and internal departments to ensure the needs of the business are met in a timely fashion
• Managing expectations and complete multiple tasks within tight deadlines without affecting quality
• Study the competitive marketplace and overall trends to ensure creative is on trend and industry leading

Qualifications & Experience → The Skills You Bring

• 2-4 years related experience in a Web Design or equivalent role
• Diploma or degree course completion in web design, graphic design or similar
• A Self-Starter. You aren't afraid to spearhead projects, and present new ideas
• Expert in Figma
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
• Understands and values the importance of clean file archiving and readable coding
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience conducting and analyzing A/B tests to inform design decisions and optimize user experience
• Experience collaborating with developers, copywriters and other designers
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Experience working with and building corporate brand guidelines
• Well-versed in design techniques and tool shortcuts

• If you have a background in UX/UI design, we'd love to hear about it.
• Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) is a plus
