Lakeland Lodge and Housing Foundation is seeking a Full-Time Kitchen Aide to join our team at Bonnylodge.

This position supports our cook to maintain kitchen operations, uphold regulations and standards, assist with inventory control, and contribute to planning and food production. Reporting to the Team Lead Cook, you'll play a key part in ensuring every meal meets the highest quality standards for our residents.

This position is scheduled for 72 hours bi-weekly, 8-hour shifts, with alternating weekends. Bonnylodge offers a highly collaborative team environment with a competitive wage and benefits package

Core Responsibilities

  • Regulations & Standards: Follow policies, health regulations, and safety protocols; maintain sanitation and proper documentation.
  • Inventory: Assist with food and supply inventory, quality checks, stock rotation, and storage.
  • Cleaning & Planning: Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen and related areas; complete scheduled cleaning duties.
  • Food Production: Support cook with prep; monitor food quality, temperature, and handling procedures.
  • Other Duties: Train staff, provide operational input, report issues, complete checklists, and attend meetings. Other duties, as assigned.

  • Must demonstrate proficiency and ensure safety practices are utilized when working and operating equipment.
  • Must keep affairs of the Foundation and residents confidential.
  • Participate as part of the Staff Team to ensure that a high standard of services is provided for the residents.
  • Participate in staff meetings and staff training opportunities.
  • Must have the ability to work on own initiative and cooperatively with others.
  • A high standard of hygiene and personal appearance.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, complete repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs) on a regular basis.
  • Ability to provide a Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.
