Calgary, Alberta, Canada Litco Law Full time $104,000 - $160,000 per year

About Litco LSO

Litco LSO is a platform built by lawyers for lawyers—a way to be part of something larger without losing your soul. It gives firm owners a path to liquidity and long-term upside while preserving their independence, culture, and brand—without having to sell out or walk away. Other professions—medicine, accounting, financial services—have already unlocked enormous wealth through consolidation and professionalization; now, for the first time, lawyers can do the same. Litco LSO is building the first North American legal platform with the scale and operational discipline to reach $100 million in EBITDA and command a 20× multiple—a $2 billion enterprise—while remaining true to the principles that made its member firms successful in the first place. It's how great firms stay independent, relevant, and competitive in a world of deregulation and well-funded giants, and how their founders finally realize the full value of what they've built.

The Opportunity

Litco is entering an exciting phase of growth, with an active M&A pipeline and several transformative initiatives underway across the business. We're looking for a Corporate Development & Strategy Associate to join our team and play a hands-on role in driving acquisitions, building scalable processes, and executing high-impact strategic projects.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with investment banking, transaction advisory, or corporate development experience who wants to be closer to execution, strategy, and value creation within a growing operating company.

What You'll Do

  • Deal Execution: Support the full M&A lifecycle, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence coordination, preparation of investment memos, transaction execution, and post-close integration activities.
  • Market & Target Analysis: Conduct industry research to identify market trends, strategic opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
  • Investment Management: Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors throughout the diligence and transaction process. Review due diligence findings, assess financial and operational implications, and incorporate results into budgeting and forecasting models. Monitor and forecast debt covenant compliance and other key financial thresholds.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Partner with Finance, Integration, and Operations teams to ensure acquisitions are executed smoothly and integrated effectively. Support the development of integration plans, performance tracking, and reporting on strategic initiatives.

Who You Are

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, or management consulting.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; comfortable assessing deal economics and risks.
  • Excellent communicator able to synthesize complex information clearly and build credibility with senior leaders.
  • Entrepreneurial and adaptable; thrives in a high growth, evolving environment.
  • Highly organized, with a bias for action and ownership.

Why Join

You'll be part of a small, high-performing team building a North American platform from the ground up. You'll get exposure to senior decision-makers, meaningful responsibility early on, and a front-row seat to strategic growth and M&A execution.
