Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fitness Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fitness facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail and fitness management. This role involves managing staff, coordinating programs, and ensuring an outstanding experience for our members. The Fitness Manager will play a key role in driving membership growth, maintaining facility standards, and fostering a motivating environment for both staff and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise fitness staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the facility's services and programs
  • Manage sales activities, including retail sales, membership sales, and upselling services
  • Oversee store management functions such as merchandising, pricing, and inventory purchasing
  • Handle customer service inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure member satisfaction
  • Manage payroll, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations
  • Coordinate training & development programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Conduct interviews for prospective employees and participate in team recruitment efforts
  • Maintain POS systems and oversee cashiering activities with accuracy and professionalism
  • Implement promotional campaigns using effective communication skills and marketing techniques
  • Monitor sales management metrics to meet or exceed performance targets
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and uphold cleanliness and organization within the facility

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience in retail or fitness management roles
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and organizational abilities
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are preferred to serve diverse clientele
  • Experience in recruiting, training & development, payroll processing, and budgeting
  • Proficiency with POS systems, merchandising tools, cash handling, and store management software
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Administrative experience with bookkeeping or financial recordkeeping is advantageous
  • Strong math skills for pricing strategies and sales analysis

Pay: $34,400.00-$105,574.83 per year
