Fire Alarm Technician

CFAA Technicians at Vickery Technical Services are responsible for knowing fire and life safety practices, as well as related codes/ regulations. Fire Alarm Technicians are expected to meet and exceed the customer specifications, meeting all Vickery Technical Services' and clients' on-site safety requirements, as well as acting as customer's electrical department to keep systems and equipment running. Our CFAA technicians promote a dynamic company image through service expertise, quality and professionalism, and a strong sense of timeline understanding. Our work is performed all across the GTA and our clients are from all different sectors including industrial, pharmaceutical, marine, high voltage, and commercial.
What you'll be doing:
- Promoting a safe and organized workplace
- Interacting with different divisions within the company. and within customer organizations
- Troubleshooting fire alarm issues
- Aptitude for performing fire alarm inspections and completing reports
- Completing inspections in a timely manner
- Perform rack-up, programming, verification, and inspection of fire alarm systems
- Proactively understand customer locations and electrical systems
What you bring to Vickery Technical Services:
- A valid CFAA certificate
- 2 - 3 years experience inspecting fire alarm systems
- Excellent knowledge/ familiarity with fire and life safety practices, as well as related codes/ regulation
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- A valid police check or ability to obtain one
- Excellent communications skills
- Superior problem-solving skills
- A desire for continuous improvement
- Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information clearly
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- You are a self-starter with high standards for quality
- Detailed oriented
