We are seeking a motivated Structural EIT to support bridge and civil structure projects in Vancouver and Toronto. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a leadership position while contributing to technical design and project coordination.
As a
Structural EIT,
your responsibilities would include:
- Assist in the design and analysis of bridge structures under senior supervision.
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Support project management tasks including scheduling and resource planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to proposal writing and business development efforts.
- Participate in site inspections, condition assessments, and construction support activities such as RFI responses and shop drawing reviews.
- Engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to support project delivery and resolve technical queries.
The right candidate is a versatile and creative thinker who can lead teams of engineers to provide practical solutions to complex problems.
The Candidate Must Possess The Following Experience
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in structural engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's preferred.
- Solid understanding of structural mechanics, materials behavior, and construction methods.
- Working knowledge of CHBDC and relevant design software.
- Familiarity with provincial and municipal standards, including BCMoTT and MTO guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience contributing to technical documentation and client-facing materials.
- Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and eagerness to grow into a senior technical or project management role.

In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range is from $86,000 - $106,000.
Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
