Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking SAP ISU ABAP Lead to join our SAP S/4HANA team. This role focuses on developing and enhancing Financial Contract Accounting (FICA), Billing, Device Management solutions within the Clean Core framework, leveraging modern SAP technologies and extensibility options. The ideal candidate shall have deep expertise in SAP ISU processes, ABAP development, and a strong understanding of SAP's cloud-ready architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom ISU solutions in SAP S/4HANA, adhering to Clean Core principles.
• Implement side-by-side extensions using SAP BTP where applicable.
• Develop and optimize ABAP code, including OO ABAP, CDS Views, and BAdIs, ensuring performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Utilize Fiori/UI5 for user-facing applications and enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with SAP's upgrade-safe and cloud-compliant development standards.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce development standards, and contribute to reusable component libraries.
• Support integration with other modules (e.g., SD, FI, CRM) and external systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the FICA landscape.
• Stay current with SAP innovations, especially around RISE with SAP, SAP BTP, and S/4HANA Cloud.
• Develops and customizes SAP IS-U (Utilities) solutions, focusing on Meter-to-Cash (M2C), Device Management, and Customer Service using ABAP programming.

Key responsibilities include building RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows), designing integrations (ALE, IDocs), working with IS-U master data (Business Partner, Contract Account, Installation), and collaborating with functional teams to translate utility business needs into technical solutions, ensuring high-quality, performant code for power, gas, and water companies.

• Development & Customization: Design, code, test, and maintain ABAP programs for IS-U modules like Billing & Invoicing, Device Management, FICA (Financial Customer Accounting), and Customer Service.
• RICEF Objects: Create custom reports, interfaces (IDocs, RFC, Web Services), data conversions, enhancements (BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits), and forms (Smart forms, SAP Script).
• IS-U Expertise: Work with core IS-U data structures, Master Data (Business Partner, Contract Account, Installation), Rate Structures, and the Meter-to-Cash process.
• Integration: Develop and support interfaces with external systems and devices (like RF devices for meter reading).
• Collaboration: Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve cross-module issues.

Performance & Quality: Conduct unit testing, peer reviews, and performance tuning for ABAP code.

• Essential Skills & Qualifications
• Strong ABAP development skills (OO ABAP, Function Modules, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits).
• Deep knowledge of SAP IS-U data structures and processes (Billing, Device Management, FICA).
• Experience with integration technologies (ALE, IDoc, RFC, Web Services).
• Proficiency in classic ABAP and modern techniques like SAP HANA, CDS Views, OData (often a plus).
• Understanding of utility industry business processes (M2C, Meter Reading).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
