Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing fresh deli items, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, food handling, and cashiering, with a strong focus on food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of deli products and fresh meats.
• Needs to be able to pay attention to quality and presentation
• Operate POS systems such for accurate cash handling and transactions
• Assist customers with selections, answer questions about products, and upsell items to enhance sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety standards
• Manage inventory levels, restock displays, and ensure product freshness
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
• Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to sanitation guidelines and safety regulations
• Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing customer needs promptly

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment is preferred
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
• Understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation standards
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
• Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
