Position Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Coach to join our team at Pickleplex Cambridge. This individual will assist in delivering high-quality programming, help organize and run tournaments. The Coach will work closely with the Club Manager but is not responsible for general club operations or administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Programming Support:

● Assist in developing, delivering, and overseeing group programming, including clinics, open play formats, and skill-based sessions.

● Work with the Club Manager & Head Pro to schedule programming and ensure sessions are engaging, inclusive, and well-organized.

● Help maintain program quality by offering on-court coaching and ensuring sessions run smoothly.

Coach Hiring & Development:

● Mentor new coaches and provide on-court guidance and training as needed.

● Help build a strong and consistent coaching team to support club programming.

Tournaments & Events:

● Assist in planning, promoting, and executing club tournaments and competitive events.

● Manage brackets, scoring systems, and player coordination during tournaments.

● Ensure a fun, professional, and well-organized tournament experience for all participants.

Qualifications:

● Strong knowledge and experience in pickleball.

● Experience leading clinics, coaching, or playing at a competitive level.

● Comfortable working with people of all skill levels and creating a positive environment.

● Organized, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Availability:

● Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
