Role description

Position Title- AML Data Management Specialist

Location- Toronto, ON

We are seeking an AML Data Management Specialist with strong functional AML expertise to act as a key liaison between source system teams and AML product/platform teams. This role focuses on data analysis, governance, and design, enabling accurate, compliant, and scalable AML data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a functional data expert bridging source systems and AML platforms/products

  • Define and maintain
    source-to-target mappings (STTM)
    for AML data flows

  • Develop and manage
    data dictionaries
    and business metadata

  • Establish and document
    end-to-end data lineage
    across systems

  • Perform
    data profiling
    , validation, and
    root cause analysis
    to identify and resolve data quality issues

  • Design and document
    data requirements and inputs
    for ETL development teams (hands-on ETL development not required)

  • Collaborate closely with AML, technology, and data governance stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance

  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and change initiatives related to AML data

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • Strong AML functional data knowledge (e.g., transaction monitoring, customer data, s, cases)

  • Proven experience in data management including lineage, mapping, and data profiling

  • Strong PL/SQL skills for data analysis and validation

  • Experience working with complex data ecosystems and multiple source systems

  • Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into clear data specifications

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Informatica (PowerCenter / IDQ / Axon or similar)

  • Experience with Azure or cloud-based data platforms

  • Familiarity with AML regulatory frameworks and compliance reporting
