The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

SUPERINTENDENT, SUPPLY CHAIN
The Supply Chain Superintendent is responsible for leading and coordinating all supply chain activities across procurement, logistics, inventory, and contract management. This role ensures the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective flow of materials and services to support operational goals. The incumbent will foster cross-functional collaboration, drive continuous improvement, and uphold safety and sustainability standards
Key Responsibilities
Area 1:
Strategic procurement and contract management.
- Lead procurement planning and execution aligned with operational and project needs.
- Oversee contract lifecycle management including negotiation, compliance, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to corporate policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to mitigate risks and optimize contract terms.
- Promote supplier diversity and sustainability in sourcing decisions.
Area 2:
Logistics and inventory optimization.
- Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce obsolescence.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and customs compliance.
- Implement systems and KPIs to monitor supply chain performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure timely availability of critical materials.
- Support emergency response and contingency planning for supply disruptions.
- Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce obsolescence.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and customs compliance.

Leadership, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor supply chain personnel, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture.
- Champion safety and environmental stewardship across supply chain operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles and digital tools.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit, risk management, and governance frameworks.
- Report on supply chain metrics, risks, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements and Nice To Haves
minimum qualifications, formal education, certifications or equivalents
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) considered an asset.
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement credentials considered an asset.
Work experience - Nature & Length
- Minimum of 5–8 years in supply chain roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Experience in mining, manufacturing, or industrial operations is strongly preferred.
Additional qualifications - Competency requirements
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to manage change and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP), data analytics, and supply chain software.
- Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing, and inventory optimization.
- Ability to analyze KPIs and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and stakeholder engagement.
