About Us
FixRight Appliance Repair is part of the growing GreatNorth Home Services family — a trusted local brand serving homeowners across Southern Ontario. We're expanding rapidly and looking for an experienced Appliance Repair Technician to help us build this new division.
We handle the marketing, leads, scheduling, and customer billing — you focus on what you do best: diagnosing and repairing appliances. This is a contract position offering excellent earning potential, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to grow with a professional local brand.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair major household appliances: washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Perform appliance installations and routine maintenance as needed.
- Communicate clearly with customers about issues, repair options, and preventive care.
- Maintain a clean, professional work process and uphold FixRight's service standards.
- Submit job notes, photos, and updates through our scheduling system.
- Provide your own tools, vehicle, and liability insurance.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in appliance repair (independent or employed).
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair most major brands and models.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have own tools, reliable vehicle, and smartphone.
- Appliance Service Technician Certificate (AST) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, professional, and takes pride in workmanship.
Nice to have
- Gas tech certification
