Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and maintaining clear communication with insurance companies and patients. This role is essential in supporting the financial operations of our medical practice and ensuring smooth revenue cycle management. Candidates with experience in medical billing and familiarity with electronic medical records will thrive in this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit insurance claims accurately and promptly using electronic medical records systems
• Verify patient insurance information and coverage details prior to billing
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure timely resolution
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities and correspondence with insurance providers
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper coding using correct medical terminology
• Address patient billing inquiries professionally and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards during all billing processes

Experience

• Prior experience in a medical office setting, particularly in billing or coding, is preferred
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of medical terminology is essential for accurate claim processing
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required to manage multiple claims and deadlines effectively
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.09-$24.95 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
