This role focuses on the design, analysis, and documentation of electrical systems used in microgrids, mobile power generation, power distribution, and renewable energy equipment. The position also includes occasional on-site commissioning and troubleshooting to support project delivery.

This position is based in Houston, Texas and the successful candidate will be required to relocate.

What you will be Doing:

• Designing and reviewing medium and low voltage electrical power generation, distribution, and microgrid systems.
• Preparing detailed electrical studies, including Short Circuit, Arc Flash, Coordination, Power System, Grounding, Load Flow, Harmonics, Fault, and Transient studies using software such as ETAP.
• Developing documentation such as area classifications, single-line diagrams, BOMs, and electrical system reports, as well as studies related to fugitive emissions.
• Creating and maintaining accurate technical documentation to support system design and operation.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide electrical engineering expertise and project support.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5–8+ years of related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing medium-voltage power generation and distribution systems.
• Proficient in ETAP for electrical studies and modeling.
• Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (IEEE, NEC, NFPA, API, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Power Generation Controls, Automation, and Digital Multifunction Relay programming.
• Skilled in developing relay logic, protection schemes, and coordination systems.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Adaptable and eager to learn new tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) designation.
• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience in oil & gas or mining industries.
• Background in installation, operation, or troubleshooting of industrial automation systems.
