Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our educational team for our Infant to Kindergarten classrooms. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the French language and a desire to inspire little children to appreciate and engage with the language and culture. The person should make these classes fun, engaging with songs, and use of props.

This position involves teaching French to students of varying ages and proficiency levels, fostering a positive learning environment, and encouraging student participation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Teach French language skills including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student interaction and participation.
  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Incorporate cultural elements into lessons to enhance students' understanding of the French-speaking world.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, French Language, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proficiency in French (both written and spoken) at a native or near-native level.
  • Previous teaching experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Familiarity with various teaching methodologies and technologies that enhance language learning.
  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds.
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to student success.
