Position Summary

Location: Sherwood Park AlbertaIn-office role, 5 days per week

Responsibilities

Collaboration with the region on ensuring all site/divisional finance and administrative processes and people are in place and working effectively.Sound judgment in the interpretation of client contracts and translating them to financial processesInterpretation/communication of financial information with non-financial peersEnsure all day-to-day accounting functions operate effectively and accurately (billings, collection, accounts payable, time collection, etc)Ensure monthly closings are timely and accurate.Review, adjust, implement, and train financial administrative processesProvide personnel management support to the region's financial and administrative positionsManage, coach and develop financial and administrative personnelRequires a high level of professional communication is maintainedManage, coach and develop financial and administrative personnelRequires a high level of professional communication is maintained

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldCPA designation; in conjunction with a minimum of 5 years of financial management experience in a related industry.Understanding of, and adherence, to contractual obligationsCompetence in the application of manual and automated accounting control systemsThorough understanding of organizational/regional priorities and necessary financial program supportsGenerally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)Strong leadership/managerial experience is considered an asset Effective teamwork skills; ability to develop productive working relationshipsAbility to interpret and apply complex accounting and auditing principlesHigh proficiency in MS Excel, MAS, MS Word, Outlook, Power Point
