Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with fueling their vehicles, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Operate the cash register using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process sales accurately and efficiently
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, maintaining proper cash handling procedures
  • Upsell products such as snacks, beverages, car accessories, and promotional items to maximize sales opportunities
  • Maintain cleanliness of the store area, including stocking shelves, merchandising products attractively, and organizing inventory
  • Conduct product demos when necessary to educate customers about new or featured items
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience

Skills

  • Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling with strong retail math skills for accurate transactions
  • Previous supervising or team-leading experience is a plus for supporting team members during shifts
  • Bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse customer groups are highly valued
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to assist customers over the phone or in person
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cashiering and retail tasks
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in retail sales, upselling techniques, and product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement
