Business Relationship Manager
in the following regions:
Leamington/Kingsville
and
Belle River/Amherstburg
. Reporting to the Manager, Business Banking, the Business Relationship Manager is responsible managing and growing a portfolio of high-value business and agricultural members by maintaining strong portfolio discipline, driving loyalty, identifying growth opportunities, and sourcing new relationships.

What You'll Be Responsible For:


• Developing, managing, and growing a portfolio of business and agricultural members while serving as the primary point of contact for business and personal financial needs.


• Delivering integrated banking, lending, deposit, cash management, and advisory solutions tailored to member goals.


• Building trusted, long-term relationships by understanding member operations, objectives, and challenges.


• Identifying portfolio growth opportunities and sourcing new business relationships through proactive business development.


• Expanding Libro's presence by networking with local businesses, industry associations, and centers of influence.


• Analyzing business financials to identify lending, cash management, and deposit opportunities.


• Structuring and delivering customized financing solutions, including operating loans, term loans, mortgages, and equipment financing.


• Collaborating with internal specialists to deliver comprehensive financial, insurance, and legacy planning solutions.


• Maintaining strong credit risk knowledge and ensuring recommendations align with Libro's risk appetite.


• Engaging in the local business and agricultural community to build visibility and generate referrals.


• Monitoring portfolio health, minimizing credit risk, and ensuring high-quality member relationships.


• Providing ongoing advice, leading renewals, and aligning solutions with evolving member needs.

The Ideal Candidate:


• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, agriculture, or a related field.


• 3+ years of experience in business banking, relationship management, or commercial lending.


• Proven experience managing diverse business portfolios, including small to medium-sized businesses and agricultural enterprises.


• Strong business development skills with a track record of building networks and driving growth.


• Experience in credit underwriting, loan structuring, and financial analysis.


• Financial Planning or Credit Risk designation (e.g., PFP, CSC) preferred.


• Experience in agricultural financing or rural economic development preferred.


• Established connections within the local business or agricultural community preferred.


• Strong credit analysis and financial structuring skills.


• Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities and maintain professional relationships with business owners, centers of influence, and industry partners.


• Deep understanding of local economic trends, industry challenges, and growth opportunities.


• Ability to collaborate with internal specialists to deliver holistic financial solutions.


• Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, results-driven, and skilled at problem-solving.


• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.


• Strong community presence and willingness to engage in business and community events.


• Adaptable and able to navigate complex financial situations.
