Composite Technician

Working in the fast-paced and exciting aerospace sector, Rotor Maxx Support Limited is an expanding Aviation company specializing in the overhaul/repair of Sikorsky S61/S76 Helicopter as well as drive train Engines and General Electric CT58/T58 Engines. We are currently seeking a Composite Technician for full time employment with our team, in Parksville BC.

Your Primary Duties and Responsibilities will include……

· Perform composite finishing work, including sanding, polishing, and applying sealants or fillers to composite materials.

· Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.

· Repair damaged paint and composite surfaces as needed.

· Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition and ensure proper storage and disposal

· Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

· Collaborate with other team members to meet production schedules and quality goals.

Our ideal candidate for this role has….

· Proven experience as a composite finishing technician or equivalent experience.

· Familiarity with composite materials and their properties.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

· Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

· Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

· Good communication skills.

· Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

· Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.

Nice to have…..

· Certification in composite finishing or equivalent.

· Experience working with specialized coatings and finishes used in the aerospace industry.

· Familiarity with regulations and standards governing aircraft finishing processes.

· An understanding of safe workshop practices.

· A genuine interest in manufacturing/aviation.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· The ability to lift 50 lbs and can stand for extended periods.

· Is comfortable working in an industrial environment with noise, dust, and chemicals.

· Will maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
