Tire and Lube Technician

The Car Salon is excited to announce a full time opening in our mechanical division for an experienced Tire and Lube Technician This position will be accountable for completing quality work for our clients. The priority will be on tire services and preventative maintenance services, maintaining a clean shop and the last priority for this role will be assisting with some mechanical repairs (on an as needed basis). For an exceptional technician in this role, we will also be open to indenturing them as an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice (pending performance and a good fit for the company). This position is available right away.

Job duties

• Performing quality tire services
• Tire change overs (mount and balance)
• Tire change overs (already mounted on rims)
• Custom tire and rim packages (mounting new tires on new aftermarket rims)
• Tire rotations
• Flat repairs
• Preventative maintenance services
• Oil changes on various brands of vehicle
• Ford, GMC, Chevrolet, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, BMW, Mercedes and Audi to name more common brands we have in our shop
• Automatic Transmission fluid changes
• Including CVT transmission fluid changes
• Transmission pan filter changes
• Coolant exchanges
• Fuel system services
• Filter changes (engine air filter, cabin air filter, etc.)
• Brake flushes
• Power steering fluid changes
• Drain and fills on differentials, manual transmissions, etc.
• Basic, general services
• Battery replacements
• Installing new wiper blades
• Complimentary, multi point inspections
• Maintaining a clean work space and the shop
• Ordering basic inventory as needed (filters, weights for balancing, etc.) or advising parts on low inventory
• Assisting with basic, mechanical repairs as needed, but tire services and preventative maintenance services are the priority for this role
• We encourage professional growth in our shop but our customers are a top priority

Job requirements

• At least 2 solid years of experience performing tire services and preventative maintenance services
• Performing tire change overs (mount and balance), flat repairs, oil changes, transmission fluid changes and coolant changes
• Completing basic services (changing out batteries, complimentary inspections, etc.)
• Some mechanical aptitude to identify vehicle leaks and to assist with basic, mechanical repairs as needed
• Someone who is happy to go above and beyond for customers (ex – taking that extra step to deliver a better experience for customers)
• Flexible to adapt to the needs of the business, which includes working more hours during tire season to get all the work completed, possible Saturdays (half day) and helping out as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
