Job Description

We are seeking an experienced  Class 1 Flat Deck driver. You will be responsible for:

  1. Performing flat deck pick-ups and deliveries primarily in Western Canada
  2. Ensuring safe and efficient transportation of various types of cargo
  3. Properly securing and tarping loads according to industry standards and regulations
  4. Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  5. Maintaining accurate logs and documentation using electronic logbooks
  6. Adhering to all transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies
  7. Communicating effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
  8. Planning optimal routes and managing time efficiently to meet delivery schedules
  9. Handling loading and unloading of cargo when required
  10. Maintaining a clean and organized truck cabin and flat deck
  11. Reporting any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
  12. Adapting to changing weather conditions and road situations
  13. Demonstrating flexibility in work schedule to accommodate varying delivery needs
  14. Participating in ongoing safety training and professional development programs
Qualifications
  • Class 1 License 
  • 2 years of flat deck experience
  • Must have load securement experience
  • Tarping experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of Electronic logbooks
