Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our Mechanic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to contribute to the smooth functioning of our shop.

Duties

  • Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles
  • Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical systems and implementing solutions
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize downtime

Experience

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role involving vehicles
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of various systems and components
  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
  • Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact drivers is preferred
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Prior experience working in repair shops

This position requires a proactive individual who is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Candidates should possess the necessary skills to perform repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
