SunMETA operates leading Western Canadian private colleges with multiple locations delivering diploma programs in both on-campus and online modalities in the business, health, hospitality, legal and technology fields.

The Opportunity

SunMETA Group is currently seeking to fill the permanent role of a Manager Curriculumin Calgary, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advance and evolve the college's electronic and curriculum infrastructure, including managing the LMS, classroom methodologies, and the adoption of a new Student Information System.
  • Support student success, working with education leaders and instructors to optimally support the student completion of programs.
  • Support the development and timely completion of corporate/department initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Curriculum on the development of educational and instructional policies and procedures.
  • Review current curriculum frameworks and industry/competitor offerings.
  • Review and update curriculum strategies supportive of lower academic and/or language learners with a focus on foundation job skills and knowledge requirements for entry-level positions.
  • Update current program curricula.
  • Create new program framework and strategy for new initiatives.
  • Evaluate and integrate new learning technology and applications.
  • Analyze, design, develop, storyboard, narrate, edit, and build curriculum.
  • Integrate interactive curriculum elements eg. audio-visual, graphics, gamification, etc.
  • Maintain and update LMS curriculum repository.
  • Coordinate with program instructors on curriculum changes and updates.
  • Actively support new program design and submission processes.
  • Develop and implement a measurement and feedback loop for continuous improvement and updating of curriculum in relation to learning outcomes data.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree (post-graduate preferred).
  • Six (6) years teaching experience.
  • Three (3) years curriculum/instructional design experience.
  • Three (3) years of management experience.
  • CTDP professional certification preferred.
  • Formal academic training in adult education or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in instructional design including E-Learning.
  • Knowledge of adult education principles and educational program design/delivery practices.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and document/file management.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical research, program development, program management, problem-solving, interpersonal, and writing/communication skills.
  • Demonstrated people and coordination skills, with a customer-focused perspective and recognition of stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and team skills.
