Kings Energy Services serves the Energy Industry and Industrial sectors Canada-wide specializing in sales, distribution, and service of valves, instrumentation & electrical products. It is also a solutions provider to the Oil and Gas Drilling Sector specializing in recertification, machining, and manufacturing. Position Brief:

The Business Development Product Specialist (BDPS) is the product/ technical expert for the specified product line and is responsible for technical knowledge, promotion, sales and support of the specified product line at Kings Energy Services. This includes all associated controls including the continued sales support to End Users OEMs, Supply Stores, Wholesalers, Service Centers and all other companies which may have applications for services and product line manufactured and distributed by Kings within their designated territory.

The primary focus is the development, sales and support of the specified product line distributed by KES. The Business Development Product Specialist is expected to achieve regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.

What you will be responsible for:

  • · Perform technical sales and support of specified product line at Kings.
  • Responsible for territory development, technical sales and support of specified product line distributed by KES.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the specified product line features, functionality and benefits. Act as a product champion for the specified product line to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Establish sales objectives by creating and implementing sales and profitability strategies, a sales plan and quota in support of national objectives.
  • Engagement and relationship building with existing and potential customers to understand their business requirements, challenges and goals. This may include attending social functions and activities with clients outside of the workplace.
  • Meet regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; assisting with an annual sales budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Leading the onboarding process for new customers, providing product demonstrations, Lunch & Learns, training sessions and documentation to ensure smooth adoption. Use of multiple sales techniques will be required including maintenance of existing customers, Cold Calling, Trade Shows, etc.
  • Promote and recommend specified product line by identifying new improvements, opportunities and service changes, surveying consumer needs and trends, and tracking competitors
  • This is an outside sales position; some travel is required as part of the scope of the position.

Additional duties may be defined within the scope of this position.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role in a related industry
  • Related sales support experience in the oil and gas sector
  • Familiarity with Kings product line is an asset.

Additional Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail
  • A sound knowledge of valve and instrumentation products is essential, as well as a solid general knowledge of other related products, services and applications.
  • Basic knowledge of oil and gas operations from drilling to daily production processes would be an asset
  • Strong computer skills: proficient in MS Office suite and CRM software
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and accuracy in all documentation
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of sales processes and dynamics
  • Class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract
