What will I be doing?

The Front Office Manager will be reporting to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, and is responsible for ensuring Guest satisfaction, achieving budgeted profit margins and making sure an excellent company image is projected, thus ensuring continued growth. The Front Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing front desk operations and will assist with ongoing Hotel Operations, scheduling, training new Associates and providing effective leadership through professional management and encouragement. The responsibilities and tasks of the Front Office Manager will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing timely and responsive service to all departments through effective communication
  • Maintaining timely and accurate files, reservations, and room availability
  • Ensure proper accounting and auditing procedures are maintained and communicating with the General Manager regarding any discrepancies
  • Work alongside guest service agents and be involved in the day-to-day guest registration process
  • Maintain proper Associate/Supervisor relations and addressing any questions in a timely manner including corrective action and recognition
  • Ensure labour and other operating expenses are maintained within budget and will be responsible for monitoring payroll.

What are we looking for?

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a Front Desk or Customer Service position
  • Previous experience working in a Supervisory and Managerial position
  • Familiarity/proficiency with basic computer applications

Skills

  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability and team motivation skills
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate in English; verbal and written
  • Must be available to work a variety of all shifts (Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays)
  • Must be able to complete a Criminal Background Check to the hotel's satisfaction.
