Based in our Blenheim branch location, we have an opportunity for a Production Manager to provide leadership and direction ensuring the consistent implementation of our procedures in connection with the manufacturing and up-fitting operations and increased market share in the marketplace.

Based in our Blenheim branch location, we have an opportunity for a Production Manager to provide leadership and direction ensuring the consistent implementation of our procedures in connection with the manufacturing and up-fitting operations and increased market share in the marketplace.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrate high standards of work practices
- Actively support customer satisfaction initiatives
- Plan and coordinate job order requirements
- Schedule work load to maximize productivity and efficiency in the shop
- Process and control work-in-progress in a timely manner to meet on-time and on-spec delivery
- Manage various projects as required within the plant
- Ensure that the team understands and meets quality expectations
- Improve customer satisfaction by identifying problem areas and initiating corrective procedures relating to shop floor, service or office procedures
- Encourage continuous improvement in shop operations through discussions among management and sales
- Manage required training needs, performance evaluations and guidance sessions for direct reports
- Investigate and report all accidents or near misses
- Promote and participate in workplace safety, environmentally sound and healthy behaviours and objectives at all times in support of Gincor's Health and Safety Policy and best practices
Requirements:
- Post secondary education with a technical focus and experience in a supervisory position (would be an asset)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the heavy equipment manufacturing industry and strong technical aptitude for Gincor products including installations, hydraulics, PTO installation, electrical circuits, air and hydraulic valves, welding, etc.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing
- Strong leadership, coaching and team building skills
- Strong planning and mechanical abilities
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing and multiple priorities with aggressive deadlines
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications
