Position will be permanent. We are looking for a new sales associate for our store in Woodgrove Mall, in Nanaimo BC. This is a part-time position with a range between 15 to 25 hours per week, in-store. Tuesday, Wednesday, and some weekend availability is required. Availability on December 26th is also required.

Following training, staff will be required to work alone on shift during most opening and closing shifts.

The perfect candidates will be energetic and outgoing, professional and understanding when interacting with customers and staff. They will be capable of assisting the store manager with regular tasks and taking directions. They will be passionate about body jewellery and assisting customers find the perfect curations for their piercings. Sales and/or customer service experience is preferred.

Duties include in-store operations such as:

  • Sales through enthusiastic and dedicated customer service
  • Enthusiasm for learning about and selling body jewellery
  • Learning brand knowledge for our clothing and accessories
  • Some computer proficiency required- use of Excel and/or Google Sheets required
  • Merchandising - refilling sold merchandise, creating displays
  • Receiving orders - reporting errors, steaming clothing
  • Packaging online orders - checking item details and quantities

Availability: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and some weekends, December 26th are required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
