Pharmacy Assistant - Full-time or Part-time

Schedule: Store hours are M-F 9am to 7pm, Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 10am-2pm, closed statutory holidays

Hourly Rate: $21 to 26/hour, experience and performance-based + benefits

Who we are: An independent community pharmacy in the heart of downtown Vancouver is seeking a full-time (or part-time for the right candidate) Pharmacy Assistant. Our mission is to engage with the West End residents and the broader 2SLGBTQI+ community to increase knowledge and access to healthcare. We are seeking to add to our amazing pharmacy team immediately in the new year

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the managing of daily workflow, from intake, data-entry, and preparation of prescriptions to cash-out and inventory management
  • Preparation of daily, weekly, monthly orders, and compliance packaging
  • Receive, order, restock, and maintain front-store and pharmacy inventory
  • Answering phone calls, messages, emails, etc. and relaying accurate information and messages when required
  • Maintaining an accurate filing and record-keeping system
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free workspace and an environmentally-conscious waste and recycling system
  • Assisting the pharmacy team in day-to-day duties and day-to-day customer service tasks

Experience:

  • Work experience in a pharmacy environment
  • Comfortable with pharmacy computer and printer equipment and common computer programs
  • Pharmacy processing program experience (Applied Robotics WinRx)
  • Working knowledge of MSP and BC Pharmacare programs and policies
  • Working knowledge of third-party extended health adjudication and policies
  • Cash, debit, credit card, and point of sale experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
