As an Assembler you will be required to perform tasks involving physical labor at our manufacturing plant and will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools. Successful candidates will understand mechanical systems or have experience in the transportation industry. Must have own tools.Main ResponsibilitiesRead drawings, and other technical diagrams.Install structural, running gear, and suspension components.Installation of wheels and tires, Install wood deckingUse material handling equipment such as forklift and overhead cranes.Lubricate, clean, maintain equipment, and tools.Load and unload trailers ready for deliveryPerform other duties as assigned.Secondary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a regular cleaning schedule to ensure the shop is kept tidy and well organized upon completion of work assignmentsEnsure racking is kept in an order that work orders are easily accessibleAttend toolbox meeting prior to shiftAttributes and SkillsAbility to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.Ability to read blueprints, and other technical diagrams.Strong working mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, Organizational, planning and time management skills.QualificationsStrong mechanical aptitude will be the primary qualification Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.Must have a strong work ethicMust be quick to learn new skillsStrong attention to detailPhysical RequirementsPhysically fit and able to lift 50 lbs - fitness test requiredAbility to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor.Be able to bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods.Ability to wear personal protective gear most of the day.Hazards associated with the industry.Shift AvailabilityDays - Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pmAfternoons - Monday - Thursday 2:00 pm - 12:30 amBenefitsCompetitive WagesExtended Health Care & Dental BenefitsAD&D, Life and STD Disability BenefitsEmployee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)Company supplied PPE equipmentGreat work life balanceSafety Boot AllowanceYear-round workWeekend and Over time work availableStable careerFamily environment and company cultureApply now to join North America's premier supplier of heavy haul transportation equipment Aspen Custom Trailers is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company poised for significant ongoing growth.
