Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Dump Truck Dispatcher to manage daily dispatch operations, secure new work, and keep our fleet moving efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and has strong industry connections within construction, aggregates, and excavation sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch dump trucks daily to job sites efficiently and profitably

  • Coordinate with drivers, foremen, and site supervisors

  • Secure new customers and contracts for dump truck work

  • Actively find and negotiate work to keep trucks running consistently

  • Schedule loads, track truck locations, and resolve on-site issues

  • Manage rate confirmations, job details, and hours worked

  • Ensure compliance with safety, MTO, and company policies

  • Maintain clear communication between management, drivers, and clients

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience dispatching dump trucks or construction trucks

  • Proven experience bringing in new customers and work

  • Strong knowledge of construction, aggregates, asphalt, and excavation hauling

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Familiarity with Ottawa & GTA Surrounding Area construction markets

  • Amount of work secured

  • Truck utilization rate

  • Reliability and efficiency of dispatch operations

  • Customer retention and satisfaction
