Position:
News Analysts, Reporters, and Journalists

Type:
Independent Contractor
Compensation:
$55–$100/hour
Location:
US, UK, or Canada
Duration:
3–4 weeks
Commitment:
15+ hours/week
Role Responsibilities

  • Design questions related to your occupation as a News Analyst, Reporter, or Journalist.
  • Work independently and asynchronously to meet project goals.
  • Ensure the quality and relevance of content for AI model training.
  • Collaborate with AI research teams to enhance model outputs.
  • Utilize your professional experience to improve training data quality.

Qualifications
Must-Have

  • 4+ years full-time work experience as a News Analyst, Reporter, or Journalist.
  • Be based in the US, UK, or Canada.
  • Access to a desktop or laptop computer (no chromebooks).

Compensation & Legal

  • We can meet industry-standard compensation expectations for your current role.
  • Paid weekly via Stripe Connect based on logged project hours.
  • Classified as an "at-will" contractor to Mercor.
  • Cannot currently support H1-B or STEM OPT status candidates.
