What You'll Do

As a key member of our Corporate Affairs and Communication team, you'll deliver both internal and external communications supporting all client groups: food banners, food brands, and loyalty programs. You'll work closely with talented colleagues across departments and have real ownership over creative campaigns that reach millions.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with business priorities.
  • Deliver engaging external communications:
  • Craft media materials
  • Manage document approval and translation processes
  • Review and share daily media monitoring (including competitor/industry analysis)
  • Proactively pitch stories to food, lifestyle, corporate and business media
  • Build and manage influencer relationships (paid & earned)
  • Assess inbound media requests via the PR mailbox
  • Create compelling social content for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok & LinkedIn
  • Drive impactful internal communications
  • Write and produce content for Flip (intranet), Viva Engage (internal social platform), email, text message, town halls & conferences
  • Support planning/promoting internal events with creative materials & logistics
  • Provide strategic counsel on all communication initiatives.
  • Champion innovation and bring fresh ideas to everything you do.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Occasional evenings & weekends may be required.

What you bring

  • 3-5 years' experience in public/media relations and/or internal communications
  • Post graduate certificate or university degree in Communications/Public Relations is an asset
  • Highly organized; resourceful; quick-thinking under tight deadlines; strong attention to detail; well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional storytelling ability—creative AND tactical writing skills required
  • Assured managing multiple projects; cooperative team player across functions
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/Canva/Photoshop/imaging software is an asset
  • Existing relationships with key Canadian food/lifestyle/business media are an asset
  • Travel Requirements:must possess a valid driver's licensefor occasional travel within the region.
